Sue Arlene Griggs, age 84, passed away peacefully August 28, 2022 at home. She was born February 11,
1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Marcus and Berniece Myers. Sue graduated from Gerstmeyer High
School in 1956 where she was Football Homecoming Queen.
Sue was a beacon for so many. She loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and spent her entire life
active in the churches she attended (Greenwood Baptist Church and Eastside Church of Christ in Terre
Haute).
Sue retired from Public Service Indiana where she was an Executive Assistant. She loved entertaining
family and; friends in her home, especially during holidays and special occasions, and everyone was
welcome in her home.
She was best known for her quick-witted sense of humor and generous spirit.
Sue is proceeded in death by her husband, Larry Griggs, daughter Julie Ann, parents, and sister (Twila
Usrey).
Survivors include daughter Vicki Rogers McGahey, sons Marc Rogers (spouse Barbie), Jonathan, and
Randy Rogers (spouse Debbie), sister Gail Teegarden, 6 granchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held this Friday Sept.2 at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N 13th St, Terre Haute, IN. 47804
and conducted by John Henderson.
Visitation from 1-3pm, Funeral 3pm
